Dr. Jeffrey D. Rhodes
Dr. Jeffrey D. Rhodes, or Dr. J, is a 1984 graduate of Austin College in Sherman, TX. He graduated from Baylor College of Dentistry in 1988. Then, he completed specialty training in pediatric dentistry in 1990. He has completed specialty fellowships at Scottish Rite Hospital for Children and Children’s Medical Center of Dallas. While at Baylor College of Dentistry, he published research in growth and development of young children’s faces. In addition, he has taught dental students at Baylor College of Dentistry, and is now teaching pediatric dental residents at Jordan Valley Community Center in Springfield, MO.
His special interests lie in the growth and development of children’s smiles. He is passionate about ensuring that children receive education on how to have healthy, beautiful smiles for life.
Dr. J is also active in the community, serving on many boards, such as the Corporate Leadership Council of the Walton Arts Center and as a Southwestern District Trustee for the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry (AAPD). He grew up in Dallas, but has been coming to Northwest Arkansas his whole life to visit family.
Dr. Andrew Burriss
Dr. Andrew Burriss, or Dr. Andrew, is a 2009 graduate of The Ohio State University. He graduated from the University of Tennessee College of Dentistry in 2013. Following graduation he worked for two years in a private practice in Collierville, Tennessee.
He then completed a residency in pediatric dentistry at Bon Secours St. Mary’s of Richmond. While he was there, he gained an appreciation for the importance of education for the prevention of dental disease in children. He also received the skills necessary to care for special needs patients.
Dr. Andrew looks forward to working with children every day and wants to give every child the foundation for long-lasting, healthy smiles for years to come. Dr. Andrew is a native of Collierville, TN.
Dr. Mackenzie Youngman
Dr. Mackenzie Youngman, or Dr. Mackenzie, received her bachelor’s degree from Auburn University in 2014. After obtaining her undergraduate degree, she went on to earn her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Texas A&M (formerly Baylor) College of Dentistry, graduating in 2018. Dr. Mackenzie practiced in Fort Worth, Texas for three years before moving to NWA. She was drawn to dentistry by her desire to help others and to make a difference in people’s lives. She is committed to creating meaningful relationships with each of her patients, providing the best possible care with kindness and compassion.
When she is not at Smile Shoppe Pediatric Dentistry, Dr. Mackenzie enjoys traveling, reading, and spending time on the lake.
Dr. Hannah McMillon
Dr. Hannah is a dentist known for her kind and gentle way with children. She tries her very best to ease the fears and anxieties of her patients, and make them comfortable in the dental chair. Dr. Hannah treats her patients as if they were her own little ones, and feels very lucky and blessed to get to watch them grow up in her care. She takes great pride in her work, and sees dentistry as one of the major ways she can make a positive difference in the world. When she graduated dental school, Dr. Hannah promised God that she would use her knowledge and skills to make the world a better place and has done her very best to keep that promise.
Dr. Hannah attended her first year of college at the University of California San Diego. She then transferred to Pacific Union College where she graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in biochemistry and a minor in biology. She completed her dental training at the Loma Linda University School of Dentistry. Dr. Hannah has since received additional training and experience in pediatric dentistry and is also certified in Pediatric Oral Conscious Sedation. She has worked in a pediatric dental office in Tulsa, OK for the past five and a half years and just recently moved to NW Arkansas to be closer to family.
Dr. Hannah loves reading, volunteering, and spending time with friends & family. She grew up in sunny San Diego, CA and still enjoys the local pastimes of sea kayaking, snorkeling, and tidepooling. Her family immigrated from India when she was two years old and she understands Tamil (a South Indian dialect). Her husband is a cute ginger business analyst who works from home, and they have two adorable but busy toddler boys who keep them on their toes!
